SUD ARCHITECTES - SUD GROUPE

PROJECTS Business

Carrefour hypermarket - St Égrève (38 - France)

SET TARGET :
Redefinition of the shopping centre's external identity in order to improve its integration in its close environment (visual comfort of the local inhabitants) and to create a pleasant atmosphere for the visitors.

THE SOLUTION OFFERED BY SUD ARCHITECTES :
Building a 'skin', separated from the existing structure, under the form of a light facade, made of 'Danpalon' panels covered with a graphite coating and supported by a metal and wooden structure. The graphical approach reinforces the site's immediate perception while playing with the distant environment, and the entrance atriums, made of glazed structures, create ruptures and improve the perspectives. The materials selected, the use of plants and the print based on the colours of the surrounding environment enable the site to be better integrated in its environment.
