Contexte & enjeux
Urban restructuring opposite the old town. A “mixed-use” project that include a shopping center with multiplex movie theaters, fine-dining restaurants, 1,100 parking spaces, redesigned pedestrian zones and an office building.
A “monuments historiques” canal is incorporated inside the building.
This project is envisaged as a “collection of buildings” aiming to break the monumental effect that such facilities opposite the old town might have. One part of the building is even integrated into a landscaped slope that allows pedestrians to directly access the top floor of the building via exterior promenades, where the restaurant area with its panoramic views over the old town will be found. This chameleon-like project blend into the preexisting fabric of the town, bringing a breath of modernity.
