SUD ARCHITECTES - SUD GROUPE
PROJECTS Tertiary sector
L'Érable - Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon (69 - France)
SET TARGET :
Within a ZAC accommodating disparate activities on a gently sloping ground located between nearby buildings, erecting an office building which perfectly fits in the pleasant and green environment of this old neighbourhood of middle-class properties located in the western part of Lyon.
THE SOLUTION OFFERED BY SUD ARCHITECTES :
Minimising the building's footprint (1,250 sqm out of the total land area of 4,483 sqm) in order to preserve the 'green' nature of the land and to keep the large original trees bordering the property. This enables to create 1,722 sqm of green open spaces, complemented with the planting of 22 standards. Cotoneasters, midget bamboos and decorative bushes highlight the building's facades made of glossy unsurfaced exposed concrete. Large wooden sunshades underline the horizontality and modernity of the architecture of this extensively windowed, low building which displays a sober and modern design. 48 outdoor parking spaces complement the 26 underground parking spaces.
