SET TARGET :
Construction of a complex for LDLC.com, a company specialising in the sale of IT hardware over the Internet. The complex is meant to serve tertiary sector activities in order to redevelop a derelict site surrounded by heterogeneous buildings (detached houses and offices with two floors) and to turn it into a high-quality area that will strengthen the Techlid cluster in the north-eastern part of Lyon.

THE SOLUTION OFFERED BY SUD ARCHITECTES :
Around a 6,000-sq m central lake, 24,000 sq m of buildings perfectly matching the surrounding landscape. The first complex, designed for LDLC.com, comprises a double row running along a linear interior garden, with an underground car park of 93 spaces. The future buildings will meet the same quality standards: exterior facings of interconnected terracotta wall-coverings, exterior joinery in slate grey lacquered aluminium, and arched roof made of metallic compartments. The choice of a metallic structure for the construction system minimises the works duration and keeps the construction site tidy during all the development phases.
