ZAC de Pierrefonds - Saint-Pierre (Reunion Island)

SET TARGET :
Requalification of the ZAC de Pierrefonds (mixed development zone), with the establishment of stores, offices, services and housing units.

THE SOLUTION OFFERED BY SUD ARCHITECTES :
Creation of a fully-fledged "neighbourhood", under the form of a multifaceted and compact program. As a structuring economic hub and a lively dwelling area, the ZAC de Pierrefonds forms the subject of an ambitious and responsible development policy. Urban transfers, car presence and relationships with pedestrians have been rethought in order to create a link between the two parts of the area. The management of water and energy issues, with vegetated rooftops, openwork facades and an optimal orientation and ventilation of the buildings, contributes to the preservation of the environment and biodiversity. With its hotels, congress centre and intermodal station, the ZAC de Pierrefonds aims at becoming a major cluster of commercial, logistic, service and tourism activities.
