“GREENSIDE”, LYON

"GreenSide" or how to design 138 homes, between Parc de la Garde and Parc de la Passerelle, in the heart of a Classified Wooded Area (EBC) 🍀 in Lyon's 5th arrondissement.
The project, designed by SUD architectes, features sober architecture integrated into the existing landscape. Its location reflects the desire to preserve the original site's wooded area and reveal its full richness through the concept of an "inhabited park".

The project covers around 9,000 m² of living space, spread over 6 buildings from R+2 to R+4, comprising 138 apartments. Starting in January 2022, the "Greenside" worksite will be accompanied by a strong commitment to preserving biodiversity, including the involvement of an ecologist on the site team, the implementation of specific measures to preserve the site's existing flora and fauna (infiltrating floor coverings, fences to allow the passage of fauna, nesting boxes, etc.) and the creation of an educational trail for future residents.

The program is part of an eco-responsible approach and aims to achieve NF Habitat Haute Qualité Environnementale (HQE) certification and the BiodiverCity® label.
Half of the project is currently being delivered.
The whole project will be completed in 2026!
