CINEMA PATHE VAISE CAR PARK Lyon (France) - 2009

Contexte & enjeux

The development plan chosen takes into account the heritage aspect of the winery and is oriented towards enhancing the interior volume with, in particular, the desire to leave its spectacular framework visible, which is one of the main points of interest of the building.

For the stewardship and viability of the project, a silo car park was created next to the winery on the railway side.

The architectural style of the project, like its interior design, plays on the contrast between the massive and solid roughness of the Chais building and the apposition of accompanying volumes that use smooth and light cladding materials, mainly metal, to express the ephemeral (and totally reversible) character of the new destination of the site in relation to the permanence of the heritage that will survive it.
