AMBROISE PARE RESIDENCE / EHPAD Chassieu (France) - 2022

Contexte & enjeux

The urban bias is the choice of a comb-shaped layout, allowing the restructuring of a building frontage and recreating an alignment on the Rue des Sports.
The EHPAD is characterised by a strong volumetry identifying 3 blocks of accommodation on a base whose materiality stands out from the rest of the establishment. This composition in blocks favours the contribution of natural light for a better comfort of the users.

The compact base of the project creates connections from the street to the garden through the play of transparency. Thus the green corridor planned by the municipality at the bottom of the plot visually invites itself into the building.
Grey metal cassettes punctuate the facades of the floors, whose satin effect contrasts with the rough aspect of the concrete base.

The living areas of the establishment, such as the lounge, the entertainment room, the hairdressing salon and the dining room, are directly accessible from the entrance hall and open out onto the garden.

Residents and staff benefit from a variety of outdoor spaces thanks to the development of a therapeutic garden and the creation of terraces and loggias sculpted into the volumetry.
