In Chalon-sur-Saône, the renovation of the water sports center is part of a sustainable transformation initiative for an existing facility, aimed at improving its operations, visitor experience, and environmental performance. The project seeks to adapt the pool to contemporary uses while extending its lifespan.
The project is based primarily on a detailed restructuring of the interior spaces, allowing for clearer circulation paths and an enhanced user experience for all visitors. Traffic flows are simplified, reception areas are redesigned, and the ambiance is improved to offer a more comfortable and accessible experience.
From a technical standpoint, the project focuses on significantly improving the building’s thermal and energy performance. The building envelope and systems are optimized to reduce heat loss and limit energy consumption.
This approach aligns with the goals of the current environmental transition, with an expected reduction in energy consumption of approximately 40%, consistent with the requirements of the Tertiary Decree. It sets the facility on a path toward long-term energy efficiency and performance.
The renovation goes beyond mere compliance with standards; it constitutes a true redevelopment of the site, ensuring its sustainability and adaptation to the future needs of its residents.
