In Saint-Gervais-les-Bains, in the Fayet district, the Parc des Thermes occupies a strategic location at the intersection of Alpine transportation routes and the vast Mont Blanc landscape. Situated near the train station and the departure point of the Mont Blanc Tramway, it serves as a hub connecting the valley, the spa town, and the high mountains.

The project aims to reinforce this territorial continuity by offering a cohesive tourist route, where the experience of the alpine landscape extends all the way to the heart of the thermal baths. The guiding principle is that of a complete itinerary, ranging from climbing the massif to relaxing in thermal waters sourced from the same geological territory.

In this vein, the thermal baths become the final stage of an initiatory journey linked to Mont Blanc, transforming the facility into a place of closure and a return to calm after the mountain experience. This direct relationship with the terrain forms the basis of the project’s identity.

The park’s design supports this intention by structuring landscaped paths that connect the various entrances and highlight views of the expansive landscape. The site thus becomes a transitional space between mobility, nature, and wellness.

The architecture aligns with this continuity, promoting a seamless integration into the site and a clear articulation of uses related to wellness and health. The thermal baths are conceived as a place of respite, in constant dialogue with their natural environment.

A comprehensive experience where landscape, transportation, and thermal springs come together to reinforce the unique identity of Saint-Gervais-les-Bains as the gateway to Mont Blanc.
