A look back at the planting of the first tree on the future ‘Horizon’ campus yesterday in Blagnac, attended by Audrey Camus, CEO of Foncière d’Icade; Sébastien Matty, President of GA Smart Building; Sébastien Leforestier, Director of Sopra Steria for the Toulouse region and CEO of Aeroline Group; Joseph Carles, Mayor of Blagnac; and Yannick Pascal, President and Associate Architect at SUD architectes.
This symbolic gesture marks the start of an ambitious project to transform an existing site into a 24,000 m² open, landscaped, and sustainable office campus, designed to accommodate more than 2,000 Sopra Steria employees by 2028.
For SUD Architectes, ‘Horizon’ is above all a deeply human project: a workplace designed to foster interaction, well-being, and a sense of community, organized around four interconnected wings that open widely onto the landscape.
The campus will notably feature:
– a 4,000 m² hanging garden
– accessible terraces on every level
– spaces for socializing, dining, and sports
– more than a hundred planted trees
– doubled open-ground areas
In a region particularly affected by climate challenges, living organisms and the landscape form the very foundation of the project, driven by an ambitious environmental approach, both in terms of energy efficiency and construction methods.
This project is also the result of a collective effort that we would like to acknowledge: thank you to Icade Foncière for its trust, to GA Smart Building for the quality of our partnership, to Sopra Steria for its vision, and to all the project management teams and contractors involved in this project.
