In Warsaw, the Raffles Europejski Warsaw project is part of an exceptional renovation project in the heart of a historic 19th-century building. The project encompasses a mixed-use development of approximately 28,000 m², combining a 5-star luxury hotel, high-end retail spaces, and premium office spaces.

The intervention involves a comprehensive transformation of the existing structure, balancing heritage preservation with adaptation to contemporary uses. The listed building is restored to its architectural integrity, while being extended by a discreet two-story addition at the top.

The project also stands out for the creation of four basement levels beneath the inner courtyard, allowing for the integration of technical functions and services without altering the appearance of the historic facades. This controlled densification ensures the viability of the program while respecting the character of the site.

The architectural approach seeks to establish a balanced dialogue between heritage and modernity, highlighting existing elements while introducing understated, high-quality contemporary interventions.

The lengthy design and construction process, spanning nearly ten years, attests to the complexity and demands of this project, from the initial studies through to the opening in 2018.
