In Aix-en-Provence, the TGV station parking garage project is part of the LGV Méditerranée high-speed rail line, where a sharp increase in ridership has led to parking capacity saturation. The project aims to expand existing parking capacity and improve the quality of passenger pathways at a strategic location at the station entrance.

The future P11 parking garage is located on the Arbois plateau, in a particularly exposed position, offering views that are both close-up from the access roads and distant from the station plaza. This dual perspective of the building makes it a defining element of the site’s image.

The architectural design is conceived to complement these different viewpoints, offering a clear and controlled structure capable of integrating into an infrastructure landscape while asserting a distinct and recognizable identity.

The project relies on a mixed steel-concrete structure, with a significant portion prefabricated off-site to optimize timelines and minimize construction disturbances. This construction approach also allows for better control over the structure’s overall performance.

Environmental integration is enhanced by the inclusion of a rooftop solar power plant, as well as rainwater harvesting systems designed for site irrigation and maintenance. An environmental consultant has been involved in the project from the earliest stages to ensure that ecological considerations are taken into account.

The complex offers a high-performance, scalable parking infrastructure that combines functional efficiency, landscape integration, and environmental commitment within a major rail hub.
