GRAND CENTRAL IN MARSEILLE

SUD architectes is proud of the refurbishment of "→ Grand Central" in Marseille.
Located at 19 rue Henri Barbusse in Marseille's first arrondissement, the former Post Office building was constructed in 1938 by architect Auguste Marie Joseph Bluysen, whose work includes the Grand Rex in Paris, to serve as an annex to the Colbert Central Post Office, which had become too cramped.
Arkadea, the result of a merger between Icade and La Poste Immobilier, wanted to redevelop this unique building, which is listed as a Historic Monument, by creating a 5-storey office complex, a coworking and restaurant space on the ground floor, and a rooftop on the 6th floor.
La Provence newspaper will be moving from its historic headquarters in Marseille's 15th arrondissement to its new headquarters here.
Grand Central has been awarded HQE® Bâtiment Durable certification at the Very Good level + BREEAM RFO certification at the Very Good level, and is WiredScore Gold level certified.
Congratulations to the whole team !
