WORKSITE PLACE BASSE, PART-DIEU, LYON

A look back in pictures at the site visit organised yesterday evening by AMO AuRA Architecture et Maîtres d'Ouvrage. It was a great opportunity to see the progress being made on the future "low square" designed by SUD architectes in front of the main entrance to Part-Dieu station in Lyon.

The Place Béraudier is currently being redeveloped, and has recently been fitted with a 1,000 m² circular metal canopy.
An emblematic feature of the station and a real technical feat, this canopy overhangs the access to a new "lower square". The Place Béraudier, extended below, will serve the Part-Dieu metro station, a cycle station with around 1,500 spaces on two levels, a taxi rank, shops and restaurants, and a 1,032-space car park.

This project is an integral part of the redevelopment of the multimodal interchange hub at Part-Dieu station in Lyon, due for completion at the end of 2024!

Many thanks to Frédérique LAFAY, Director of AMO AuRA Architecture et Maîtres d'Ouvrage, and her team!
