DOCKSITE Lyon (France) - 2011
General presentation
Contexte & enjeux
Docksite is a multi-occupant office building in the Quartier de l’Industrie in Lyon Vaise. Built around a peaceful graphic garden, planted with roses and boxwood, the building opens towards the Saône.
On a two-storey base, a double attic of metal and glass is set back and generates a progressive height of the built volume, accompanying the relief of the landscape from the quays of the Saône, towards the Monts du Lyonnais.
The convivial terraces overlook the district and its liveliness.
The entrance halls and floor levels have large windows overlooking the garden.
The interior organisation is entirely based on the concepts of flexibility, modularity and divisibility.
The vast floors without posts and a well thought-out grid make it possible to respond to all partitioning changes with minimal technical impact. This particularity, an initial request from the investor, makes it very easy to convert for rental purposes and gives it an excellent occupancy rate.
