FOCH SULLY ISLET Roanne (France) - 2016
General presentation
Contexte & enjeux
Situated between the Halles Diderot, a gastronomic mecca, and the main pedestrian streets of the hyper-centre, Foch-Sully enjoys a privileged location in the heart of Roanne.
The project will endeavour to preserve and reinforce the presence of green spaces, which are a factor of well-being in the city.
The choice of a cohabitation between housing, shops, services and public spaces will impregnate the Foch-Sully block with a variety of atmospheres.
The programme includes housing: intermediate, collective and senior residences, a 50-room hotel, a diversified range of shops and in particular ground floor boutiques with food shops linked to the Halles Diderot opposite, and restaurants located on the Place des Halles.
The central covered public square is a link between the pedestrian lanes and the shopping arcade.
At the ends of the block, the Verdun, Halles and Foch-Sully squares connect the project to the city.
