THE THERMALS Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc (France) - 2016

Contexte & enjeux

The Parc des Thermes is located in the Fayet area, the lower part of Saint-Gervais-les-Bains.
It is a strategic place: it is close to the railway station but also to the Mont Blanc tramway station. The tramway runs along part of the Thermes park, at the level of the entrance, before starting its ascent towards the Mont-Blanc. The tramway establishes a strong link with Mont Blanc that must be reinforced.

The objective is to set up a tourist route which takes into account the Mont-Blanc and the thermal baths : after having gone to the Mont-Blanc, one can finish the day in the precious water which comes from this massif.
Thus, the thermal baths of Saint-Gervais close the route of the ascent of the Mont-Blanc. This strong proximity and connection to Mont Blanc is part of the identity of Saint-Gervais-les-bains.
