ECOQUARTIER LES HIRONDELLES Annecy (France) - 2019

General presentation

Contexte & enjeux

The redevelopment of an industrial site represents a major challenge in terms of sustainable development and energy transition. The NTN-SNR site, located in the heart of Annecy, is no exception.
Nature, light, views, air quality, outdoor surfaces for multiple uses are all assets that make up this project.

Its common thread is built around the landscape, with a strong symbiosis between nature and architecture: buildings and plants imply a “listening” and sustainability that are mutually beneficial to the entire operation.
A large, majestic and inhabited greenhouse is the signal for this idea. This communion is found in the massive use of wood in the structure of the buildings and in the valorisation of the “Savoie” sectors and know-how. Thus, the project proposes a sublimation of nature in the heart of the city centre with a high quality of the landscapes created inside and outside the buildings, illustrating the strong desire of the district to be part of an interaction
of architecture and nature.
