ATALANTE VIA SILVA URBAN DEVELOPMENT ZONE Cesson Sévigné (France) - 2021
General presentation
Contexte & enjeux
The masterplan is structured around a central linear garden, a new landmark for the inhabitants. This largely planted link is punctuated by “urban lounges”; places to meet and relax.
On a larger scale, the garden contributes to the notion of ecological continuity by extending towards a vast park to the east.
In short, this central space constitutes a support for exchanges and practices for the inhabitants, and makes it possible to propose shared outdoor uses in the vicinity, while at the same time creating plant continuities that are essential for the spread of biodiversity.
The work on the articulation of the typologies between them makes it possible to manage the transitions in scale between the different modes of living.
The mix of typologies and real estate products guarantees social diversity at the scale of the operation.
In an era of sustainable development, the rational use of land is more than ever a pressing obligation. Living with the times also means living with more density. Density is a matter of balance and feeling. If it is orchestrated with finesse, it makes it possible to design “tailor-made” projects that manage the relationships between neighbours, and the courtesy of the different sizes, while at the same time creating quality public spaces. The forms of individual housing proposed are varied: villas with patios, houses with roofs, “sheds”, attached or in the middle of a garden.
